Pool servicing across the Sunshine Coast
Built for Sunshine Coast Pool Conditions
Sunshine Coast pools deal with strong UV, heat, salt air, storms, rain, leaves, debris and high use. Those conditions can reduce chlorine, shift pH, overload filters and expose weak equipment. Regular pool maintenance on the Sunshine Coast helps keep the water balanced and the system monitored.
Can burn through chlorine and increase algae pressure.
Can dilute chemicals, add debris and shift water balance.
Can block baskets, increase filter load and reduce circulation.
Can cause cloudy water, poor flow and green pools if left unchecked.
Recent work and proof
Real Pool Recovery, Servicing & Equipment Work
Green pools, cloudy water and equipment faults often have a cause behind them. These examples show why water treatment, filtration support and equipment checks matter. For severe algae, view our full green pool recovery Sunshine Coast page.
Green Pool Recovery
Algae treatment, filtration support, water balancing and recovery planning for pools that have turned green.
Pump, filter and chlorinator issues can cause water problems.
If poor flow, low chlorine output or filter restriction is causing repeat water issues, start with pool equipment repairs or consider pool equipment installation if the system is outdated.
Ongoing servicing helps prevent repeat problems.
Once a pool is balanced, regular pool servicing helps monitor water chemistry, baskets, filters, chlorinator output and equipment condition.

Recent Pool Transformations Across the Sunshine Coast
Sunshine Coast Pool Patrol provides green pool recovery, pool cleaning, water testing, chemical balancing and pool maintenance across the Sunshine Coast. Green pools are often caused by pump failure, chlorinator faults, low water levels, missed maintenance, storm debris, low chlorine or poor filtration. These recent-style examples show how proper testing, algae treatment, brushing, filtration, vacuuming to waste and water balancing can help bring green pools back under control.
Green Pool Recovery After Pump Failure in Buderim
Location: Buderim, Sunshine Coast
Likely cause: Pump failure, no circulation, low chlorine and algae growth
Treatment used: Floc treatment, leave to settle and vacuum to waste
This Buderim pool turned green after the pool pump stopped circulating water properly, leaving the pool with little to no filtration. Once circulation is lost, chlorine can drop quickly and algae can spread through the water, especially in warm Sunshine Coast conditions. Sunshine Coast Pool Patrol carried out a full water test, checked the equipment, corrected the water chemistry and treated the algae. A flocculant treatment was used to drop fine suspended algae and debris to the floor, before the pool was carefully vacuumed to waste so the settled material was removed from the pool instead of being pushed back through the filter. The pool was then topped up, chemically rebalanced and checked so it could return to clear, healthy swimming water and ongoing pool maintenance.
Green Pool Treatment in Buddina
Location: Buddina, Sunshine Coast
Likely cause: Owners away, low chlorine, missed maintenance and active algae
Treatment used: Algaecide treatment, repeated brushing and 36-hour filtration
This Buddina pool went green while the owners were away and regular pool maintenance had fallen behind. Chlorine levels dropped, algae started growing across the walls, steps and floor, and the water lost clarity. Sunshine Coast Pool Patrol tested the water, assessed the filtration system, adjusted the chemistry and treated the active algae bloom with algaecide. The pool was then heavily brushed to break algae away from the surfaces so the treatment and filtration could work properly. The filter was run continuously, with follow-up brushing and water correction over the next 36 hours to help remove the treated algae from the water. Once the pool had cleared, Sunshine Coast Pool Patrol rebalanced the water and returned the pool to a cleaner, safer and more stable swimming condition.
Low Water & Chlorinator Fault in Caloundra
Location: Caloundra, Sunshine Coast
Likely cause: Low water level, air in the system, poor circulation and chlorinator fault
Treatment used: Heavy chlorine shock, filtration and spot vacuum to waste
This Caloundra pool turned green after the water level dropped too low, causing the pump to draw air and reducing proper circulation through the filtration system. At the same time, the salt chlorinator was not producing enough chlorine, which allowed algae to take hold quickly. Sunshine Coast Pool Patrol topped up the pool, inspected the pump, filter and chlorinator, then carried out water testing and chemical balancing. A strong chlorine shock dose was used to treat the algae, and the filtration system was run to clear the majority of the dead algae from the water. Once heavier debris settled on the floor, Sunshine Coast Pool Patrol completed a spot vacuum to waste, followed by final water balancing and equipment checks to help prevent the pool from turning green again.
